Who we are
The Orient was founded by João Morais Barbosa and João Raposo, financial advisors who dedicated the last years to helping thousands of people change their relationship with money.
Together, they have already published 8 Personal Finance books and hundreds of opinion articles where they report their training experience in the most varied fields, emphasising the topics of Savings, Investment and Financial Coaching.
João Morais Barbosa and João Raposo are entrepreneurs by nature, founding partners of several companies in the Financial and Marketing area and regular presence in various media.

João Morais Barbosa
Partner and Financial Planner
Graduated in Management by NovaSBE, started his career in Investment Banking as Equity Research Analyst at Caixa Banco de Investimento, after completing a Specialization in Markets and Financial Assets by ISCTE.

After that he joined Banif Banco de Investimento as Equity Funds Portfolio Manager. During these years he obtained a post-graduation in Financial Analysis from ISEG, which gave him the European Certificate of Financial Analyst (CEFA), an essential step towards the writing of his first book, the “Personal Finance Handbook”.
With the publication of the “Personal Finance Handbook”, he launched his first company, the Personal Finance School, where he was responsible for financial literacy programmes in various companies in Portugal. From these training actions resulted several contents on Personal Finance, which he published in 5 more books and hundreds of opinion articles, having developed a weekly column on the Sic Mulher channel.
In 2014, he launched the Reorganiza Group keeping the focus on Personal Finance, namely in training and financial mentoring, Credit Intermediation, Insurance Mediation and Financial Investments.
He is married and father of 6 children.
Eduardo Mendia
Partner and Real Estate Planner
Degree in Industrial Management Engineering from FCT, with a postgraduate degree in Real Estate Management and Valuation. He started his career in the Pinto Basto Group where he passed through different positions related to the financial area.

In 2019 he created Enjoy Living, a company in the real estate area where he makes different investments.
In recent years besides this area he has made different investments in the tourism and catering sector.
He is one of the founding partners of Orient and intends to contribute to the growth of our clients’ portfolio through his expertise in the real estate area.
Tiago
Almeida
Partner and Financial Planner
Married and with 5 children, he is attending a postgraduate course in financial analysis (CEFA). He worked in Sonae Sierra and SDO Consulting as a financial auditor and later joined Reorganiza as a financial consultant.
